Billionaire's Accident Page 5

“Second job?” Brent asked curiously. Who had energy for a second job if their first was being a waiter in New York? Not too long ago he had read an article where it mentioned that waitressing was one of the most physically demanding jobs. You were on your feet and constantly interacting with people for an entire shift.

“I work as a barista in the morning at a coffee shop. So the plan was to save that up and take it home, but then my roommate moved out. So between covering the higher rent costs it’s been tight, especially since I’ve been saving most of my income. I’ve started taking double shifts wherever I can.”

“Wow, that sounds … hard.” Brent couldn’t imagine working those hours every day and still having barely anything to show for it.

Tia laughed ruefully. “It has been, but I just need a couple of months more. Then I’ll go back home and get all the rest I need.”

Brent thought of Tia going back home in a few months and didn’t like it. It had taken two years and a ruthless twist of fate to bring her back into his life; he wasn’t ready to let her go. But he also wasn’t ready to commit.

  Where did that leave him?

He looked at Tia and felt his heart clench like a fist in his chest. Surely that had to mean something? But what, Brent didn’t have a clue.

“That’s enough about me for one evening; tell me about you?” Tia said, watching Brent. He looked at her in a way that heated her blood. Even though it scared her, Tia loved it.

“Do you think you’re up for a glass of wine yet?” Brent asked as he took their dishes to the sink.

“Roger didn’t say I couldn’t, so I’m sure it would be fine. Red or white?” Tia stood up and out of habit started doing the dishes.

“I’ve got chianti and a cabernet. what do you prefer? You really don’t have to do the dishes.”

Tia smiled at him and couldn’t help but notice that with his hands reaching for the wine cabinet, his shirt had ridden up revealing a golden-brown flat abdomen. Desire coiled low in her belly at the memory of kissing him there. It had been so new and exciting for her when she had made love to him; she had taken her time exploring his body.

“You cooked, I clean. I’ll have the white.” Tia quickly turned back to the dishes, hoping he couldn’t read her mind.

“Chianti it is then.” Brent slipped the bottle of red wine back into the wine rack and poured them each a glass.

Tia scrubbed and soaped the dishes in record time, needing to get out of the small space with Brent. Her body was doing strange things having him so close. Her nerve endings had all jumped to attention the moment he had moved into the kitchen with her. Moisture had pooled between her thighs and her nipples were throbbing against the new bra, itching to be touched or released from the lacy confines.

“Let’s go sit by the fire.” Brent moved towards the living room where Tia only now noticed a fire burning. “It’s still raining; it’s barely let up since last night.” Instead of sitting down in one of the opulent leather couches, Brent sat down in front of the fire on the plush carpet.

Tia considered opting for a couch, but it would look stupid and childish, she decided. Brent would think she was afraid of him, and she wasn’t. She was merely careful around him due to how her body responded when he was around.

She carefully sat down, making sure she didn’t touch Brent, a useless feat as their hands brushed as he offered her the wine. A bolt of desire zinged up her arm; Tia’s eyes flew to Brent’s only to realize he had felt it as well.

If he hadn’t walked out that night, what would’ve happened in the morning? Tia thought as she looked into those cerulean blue eyes beside the fire. Would they have exchanged numbers or arranged to see each other again?

Tia knew it was all wishful thinking, but she couldn’t deny the attraction between them. If Brent had told her to forget about two years ago, maybe he wanted to start fresh. Excitement bubbled through Tia at the thought. The idea of touching him, tasting him, and having his hands all over her body again had her body rippling with anticipation.

The air thickened as Tia found Brent watching her intently. Her body hummed from his gaze. She no longer felt tired or sad or like a failure. She felt alive and burned with desire for Brent.

He slowly leaned closer, watching her eyes the whole time. Tia was even aware she had slightly opened her mouth as he neared her. She could see the question in his eyes.

  Can I kiss you …?

Tia couldn’t form the words; instead she leaned in, allowing their lips to brush.

His lips were warm and soft against her own; they felt familiar, and soon they took control. With his hand at the nape of her neck, Brent angled her head to deepen the kiss. Their tongues glided against each other with such fervor, it shocked Tia. She pulled back and touched her lips where his had just been, watching Brent with wide eyes.

“Can you feel it?” Brent asked with a smug grin.

  “What?” Tia asked, confused.

“It’s still there. It’s even stronger than before …” His voice was low with desire, his eyes flashing with desire for her.

Tia wanted to deny it, deny him, but she couldn’t. Not when her body was pleading for him to touch her again. Tia nodded hesitantly, not feeling bold enough to kiss him again. Instead she took her hand from her mouth and ran her fingers along his rugged jaw.

“Kiss me again …” Her voice was barely more than a whisper but Brent didn’t need any more invitation.

He leaned in, this time demanding more as he moved his body closer to hers. They were both kneeling in front of the fire as their tongues reacquainted themselves, exploring the taste they had feasted on so long ago.

“It tastes better on you …” Brent whispered inches from her mouth.

  Tia giggled. “What?”

  “The curry.”

Tia felt a slow, sexy smile tug at the corners of her mouth. “I think I need to explore the taste some more before I can agree or disagree.”

Brent opened his arms wide. “I’m all yours.”

Tia laughed and pushed him back on the carpet. He laughed as he fell with his back against the carpet and Tia climbed on top of him. As she sat down on his lap, she felt his hardened sheath through the material of his jeans. Tia pressed down against it, relishing the fact that he was so hard from just kissing her.

Tia tugged her hair out of the way and kissed Brent with all the pent-up desire she had carried in her heart for him over the past two years.

The kiss soon turned from playful and flirty to deep and urgent. Brent’s hands wove into her hair, tugging her head in the direction he wanted her mouth before his hands slid down and started tugging at the shirt.

Tia laughed at his fumbling hands and sat back, pressing herself against him again before tugging the shirt over her head. His eyes zoned in on the lacy bra whose origins she still wasn’t sure of.

Enjoying his eyes on her, Tia unclipped the bra and threw it aside. Brent gasped at the sight of her breasts and Tia couldn’t help but smile. The last time they had been together, Brent had been the one to take control; this time Tia had a better idea of what was going on and wanted to take part as much as Brent.

His hands cupped her breasts and his thumbs flicked over her nipples a few times before squeezing lightly. Tia gasped as she felt a corresponding tug between her thighs. Needing to touch him, she tugged at his shirt until Brent sat up and pulled it over his head.

His abdomen was just as flat as she remembered but it was more muscled than it had been the last time. Tia ran her hands over his chest, reveling in the feeling of his soft skin and pebbled nipples when Brent grabbed her and flipped their positions.

On her back, with the fire to one side, the carpet beneath her and the most gorgeous man on top of her, Tia didn’t think she could be any luckier. Just this morning she had thought life couldn’t get much worse than being broke and kidnapped, and now she was about to make love to the man who had haunted her dreams for two years.

Brent unhooked his jeans before stepping out of them; his manhood stood proud as if reaching for her. Tia gasped at the sight; it was larger than she remembered.

She expected Brent to ravish her, but instead he slowed everything down. He kissed her with such tenderness that Tia opened her eyes to make sure it was still Brent making love to her. His lips slowly traveled down her chest until he tugged a pert nipple into his mouth. The heat and the suckling motion he made drove her wild. Tia bucked beneath him and nearly jumped when his hard cock brushed against her jeans.

Brent gave a husky laugh before he traveled further south. He dipped his tongue into her belly button before he started unfastening her jeans. Tia gasped as he slid his thumbs into the hips and slowly dragged the clothing over her legs.

When her legs were finally free, Tia could hear Brent sigh as his hands grabbed her hips. She expected him to thrust, to start rocking her body. Instead his head dipped between her thighs. He hadn’t done this last time, was the last thought that crossed her mind as his tongue separated her moist folds.

Tia moaned as his tongue slowly slid up and down her folds from her entrance to her clit and back. She knew she was going to come apart any second; his tongue was creating so many sensations at once.

The heat of his mouth, the cool air of his breath, the texture of his tongue against her slippery folds …

Just as Tia thought she couldn’t take anymore, Brent dipped two fingers deep inside her.

Tia felt the world tip before it started to spin out of control as she was pulled into the funnel, unable to stop herself. She clenched around his fingers as her body tensed.

Tremors ran through each limb and made her heart skip at least a few beats. When the world finally stopped spinning, Tia opened her eyes to find Brent watching her with such intensity that she nearly came again.

He grabbed his jeans and pulled a condom from his wallet. After slipping it on with experienced fingers, he rested on his knees between Tia’s thighs.

“Are you ready?” he asked, his voice raspy from desire.

  Tia nodded eagerly.

As soon as he plunged, she gasped.

“Tia … are you okay?” Brent asked as he stopped all movement.

“It’s been a while …” Tia said, closing her eyes as her body became accustomed to his size.

  “How long?” Brent asked.

Tia considered lying; instead she opened her eyes and met his concerned gaze. “About two years ago. It’s only happened once before.”

Brent groaned before slowly lowering himself on top of her. He brushed a stray strand of hair from her eyes before he whispered against her lips, “My Tia.”

Tia felt her heart expand at the words and she wanted nothing more than to feel him inside her. She hooked her feet around his waist and bucked against him. “Don’t stop.”

“Are you sure?” Brent asked with narrowed eyes.

“Yes,” Tia sighed as he moved inside her. She felt him slowly retract and her body instantly missed him. This time when he plunged, he hit all the right spots. He slid along her sensitive flesh before slamming against her clit deep inside.

Tia moaned as he plunged again and again. When the world slowly started spinning again, Tia grabbed hold of Brent’s ass to keep her from falling.

  Instead he fell with her.

Her internal clock jolted Tia awake. For a moment she was confused about where she was and the weight over her legs, when it all slowly started coming back to her.

She was with Brent, in his penthouse, and it was his leg draped over both of hers that pinned her to the bed. Tia slowly turned her head to look at Brent. Even with his eyes closed and his easy breathing, he looked like a man to be reckoned with.

One that controlled, demanded, and took what he wanted.

Although asleep there was something soft about him, something Tia hadn’t noticed earlier. The kindness he had shown towards her ever since the incident in the parking lot didn’t seem as farfetched any more.

  He had stayed the night.

That alone made Tia look at him again. Although it was his apartment, he could have slept in any of the other guestrooms. She wouldn’t have even put it past him to ask her to leave in the middle of night.

  But he hadn’t.

He had pulled her close after they had made love and had whispered sweet nothings in her ear until she had drifted to sleep in his arms. The romantic in Tia reveled in the moment. Feeling his weight over her, seeing the day’s growth on his beard, seeing him fast asleep, Tia felt privileged to lie beside him in his bed in the morning. If he had been honest, it meant she was the first woman to wake up in his bed. Her tummy fluttered at the thought.

She heard his breathing change and knew he had woken up. Tia smiled as she waited for his eyes to slowly drift open. She waited for the shock, the regret of waking beside her to slowly seep into those bright blue eyes.

Instead a slow sexy grin met her. “Good morning, beautiful.”

Tia giggled. “I thought you’d kick me out or sleep somewhere else.”

Brent shook his head. “Are you crazy? I’ve regretted walking out on you for close to two years. Why would I repeat the mistake? I’ve never looked more forward to waking up in my life than right now.”

Tia’s brow furrowed. “You regretted it?”

Brent slowly ran his thumb over her fuller bottom lip and whispered against her lip, “Every day. I’ve considered trying to find you, but it seemed a ridiculous feat. I know this is crazy, but I’m glad I ran you over. If I hadn’t, I’m not sure I would’ve ever seen you again.”

Tia tried to ignore her heart expanding at his words, but it was morning. This wasn’t pillow talk; could it be possible Brent was being honest with her?

“I can see the wheels turning in your mind. I can see you think I’m lying,” Brent said as his fingers slowly trailed over the valley between her breasts.

  Tia gasped. “Are you?”

  “To you, never.”

“Good,” Tia said with a happy sigh.

“Stay,” Brent whispered against her breast before he slowly laved her nipple with his tongue.

Tia had so many things to do. She needed to phone her bosses and let them know why she hadn’t come into work. She needed to find her clothes that had mysteriously disappeared. And she needed to get back to work.

But that one word held so much power after spending another night with Brent. “I’m not sure …”

“I don’t want you to go, Tia.”

Tia sighed and suddenly realized nothing else mattered but this moment. Having Brent beside her in bed made everything else seem distant. The savings to go home, the two jobs, sending her mother money; it all seemed unimportant in that moment.

Tia wasn’t stupid enough to plan a future with Brent, but she knew she didn’t want to regret leaving too soon. “I’ll stay.”

“Really? ’Cause I’m not ready to let you go yet,” Brent said as his hand slipped between her folds.

“Already?” Tia giggled as she felt his manhood harden against her thigh.

“Always, for you,” Brent said as he slipped a finger inside her. Tia gasped and heard a phone ringing somewhere in the large apartment.

“Don’t you need to …” Tia said as her breath started coming in short pants.

“Yes, but I need to do this more,” Brent said as he started moving down her body.

As his stubble scraped against the inside of her thigh, Tia clutched the sheets in her hands, needing something to hold on.

How did he do this? Surely she couldn’t want more already? As she felt his hot tongue against her, she realized she was wrong. She could never have enough of Brent. For as long as he wanted, she would stay. She wanted to spend the time with him; she wanted to get to know him; and she didn’t want to regret not taking some time for herself.

Sure, this wasn’t money in the bank to take back home, but it was so much more. It was a memory she would cherish her whole life. The h
andsome man in the city that had driven her wild.

The idea appealed to her so much that she opened her legs wider for him, giving him better access. As she felt the wave start to build, Tia had a feeling no man, no lover, would ever be able to measure up to Brent.

Yes, there was the sex. But there was something more here. Something Tia wasn’t ready to explore, something she knew Brent wasn’t ready admit.

Tia threw her head back against the pillows as her orgasm ripped through her. Before she regained her senses she felt Brent position himself between her thighs and thrust.

This time she cried out from ecstasy and from pure exhilaration as he drove her orgasm even higher.

Tia grabbed his face in her hands and kissed him with such fervor that she could feel the surprise in the smile against her lips. They rode the wave together, crashing against the shore with tremors and shivers and something very closely reminiscent to love.

Tia closed her eyes and sighed deeply before opening them and finding Brent’s blue eyes dark with passion. “I’m not done with you yet.”

Tia laughed and Brent groaned against her mouth. “You do know you hug me when you laugh and I’m still inside you.”

Loving the thought of giving Brent’s cock little hugs, Tia laughed a little more.

Two days later and Tia still hadn’t left. Not because she hadn’t tried a few times, but because Brent had asked her to stay.

He had never asked anyone to stay before; it terrified and confused him that he’d asked Tia. They had spent the weekend together lounging in and out of bed, cooking together, and getting to know each other better. Tia was so different from the women Brent usually dated. She didn’t care about makeup and designer clothes or even about his money; she just cared.

The clothes Lara had bought her had soon been joined by another two pairs of jeans and a few blouses. Tia had blushed and insisted she go home and collect some of her own clothes, but Brent had refused.
